Let's hold off doing this until we have some more info. I'm not sure this is the best way to choose officers, anyway.
I move that we vote for a Treasurer. I'd like to get this taken care of so we can know where we stand on finances. If a great deal on a lot comes up, we may need to move quickly, so we need to know where we stand.
According to Steph's excellent suggestion, the Treasurer's duties will include:
Keeping track of all contributions to the project, whether money, labor, or materials.
Periodic reporting and review of contributions
Keeping track of the budget, expenses, etc
Basically all the money stuff.
So, I've created a voting booth to the right. Please put a tally mark (X) next to the person you think would do the best job. The person with the most X's will be the Treasurer, if they accept the post. If you don't want to be the Treasurer, just put NA next to your name so we know not to vote for you.

I don't know if everyone else is set up as an author or admin, but with author rights we don't have rights to edit, just post. (so I can't vote.) Also, would you add my email to the email list where it sends email on updates to the blog? Thanks!
So all those you have posted (in the voter panel) have expressed interest in being involved? Or is this your way of getting them involved? Logan was suggesting that a better way would be with google docs. You can create forms or polls and other stuff. It might be a good idea for keeping track of stuff so everyone can see as well.
Also, Logan said you plan on looking at some property. I would really like to join you on these excursions.

Becca, I'm getting emails of about half the posts, and I'm not sure why I don't get all of them. But, I am "following" the blog and I noticed at the bottom of this page (the comment pate) there's a link that says "subscribe by email"
