Here are some pictures of a house/cabin in Herriman that is going to be torn down. If we could get permission, we could salvage enough lumber to build a good sized cabin. It would take a ton of labor, but it may be worth looking into.
These are the sort of opportunities that will make this cabin feasible. We would have a hard time paying for lumber like this otherwise.
What do you think? Is it worth the effort to salvage?

I say, "Absolutely!!" but I'm not out there so I won't be doing the hard labor. haha :)
But you're right. If we keep our eyes on these salvage opps then we could build a killer cabin for way less.
What are our options for storing?
Heck yes! :) Although I'm like Kristi, I'm not out there to help out for another year at least. I'm thinking our family will have more time than money, so we really need to take advantage of these things. Becca has a point though. Any ideas for storage, Brandon?
I think we wouldn't really be able to salvage anything until we have the land purchased so we can store the materials there. Until we have land, we're still just in the talking phase.
